Meet Greg

Hi, I'm Greg.
I know what it’s like when the formulas stop working. I’ve spent over 25 years studying how people operate, including myself, but yet when my son got sick, the rules I’d relied on no longer applied. I had to reroute my life and learn a new way to move through it. This is something many of us face, and trying to do it on our own can be too much. This is where our work together comes in.
You might be here because what used to “work” isn’t working anymore. The habits that helped you succeed may be straining your relationships. Maybe you’re carrying too much on your own, or you think differently and want someone who gets that. You want straight talk not clichés, and tools you can actually use. Outside the office, I’m an endurance guy—distance and ultra marathons, Spartan ultras and marathons. I believe that a little honest discomfort can lead to developing real strength, and I bring that steady, practical mindset into the room. I have also learned not only how to tolerate “messiness” but to honor it in the process.
Together, we’ll slow things down, map what’s happening and why it matters, then test strategies that fit who you are. I’ll provide clear feedback and honest questions; you maintain control of your agency at every step. My values—honesty, autonomy, and genuine partnership—set the tone.
A little more about me. I am married and have 4 adult children. I have worked in community mental health, residential programs, young adult supportive transitional living programs, and wilderness environments. After working with thousands of individuals and families and spending over 5000 hours in treatment team meetings, I have collected, evolved and honed concepts and strategies that allow me to truly individualize my work with clients. Working together we will understand enough about the process to begin developing solutions. And even then we will apply the scientific method to assess whether the strategies are working and adjustments we need to make.

Ready to talk with someone who gets it?
You do not have to keep trying to figure this out on your own. If you see yourself in any of these areas and are ready for a different kind of support, I would be glad to meet with you and see whether we are a good fit.
